5. Ice Age bone samples reveal DNA links between wolves and dogs

   An international group of geneticists and archaeologists have analysed bones samples, some provided by LJMU, that reveal the ancestry of dogs can be traced to at least two populations of ancient wolves.

6. LJMU postgraduate Sport Psychology programme first of only three in country to gain BASES accreditation

   The School of Sport & Exercise Sciences at LJMU is one of only three universities to have its MSc Sport Psychology course accredited by professional body, the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).
