   New research suggests domestic abuse victims are better served by schemes which prioritise safeguarding over prosecution.

3. Call for submissions: Teaching and Learning Conference 2020

   This year's conference will take place on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 June and submissions are now invited from staff and students and collaborative partner institutions, as well as other colleagues working in post-16 education.

4. Professional Services Conference 2020 - call for submissions extended

   The main theme of this conference is 'Continuous Improvement: the Art of the Possible'. In response to positive feedback from last year's conference, we again welcome submissions on the sub-theme of Health and Wellbeing.

6. Pensions Awareness Week online events 12-16 September

   As part of Pensions Awareness Week, Merseyside Pension Fund will be running a series of live online events which aim to increase pensions awareness among active members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

7. Healthcare framework proposed to improve health of ageing populations

   An LJMU researcher is part of an international team of researchers who have put forward a position statement, published in Science, which lays out a new healthcare framework to help ageing populations stay healthier for longer.
