   25 Athletes from across the UK attended the first ever Para Laser Sport training event at LJMU’s Sport Building this week.

3. Restrictions on using USBs

   From Monday 4 September, students will no longer be able to use USB storage devices on LJMU computers, laptops and other IT equipment.

4. LJMU Staff Networks move to Teams

   From this month the process to join a staff network has moved to the LJMU website and Microsoft Teams, making it even easier to join one of LJMU’s staff networks

5. Restrictions on using USBs for students and staff

   From 4 September students will be no longer able to use USB storage devices on LJMU equipment. This is alongside the restrictions already in place for staff.

6. Invictus Games UK team members get support from LJMU sport scientists

   Strength and conditioning training as well as nutritional advice and access to gym facilities is on offer for two Merseyside-based competitors.

   It is with great sadness that the University announces the death of former student Caroline Aherne at the age of 52.

9. Public Health Institute and Drama students create educational film on gang-related violence

   LJMU Drama students have joined forces with LJMUs Public Health Institute to create an educational film helping NHS staff deal with the consequences of gang-related violence in hospitals.
