1. July is Disability Pride Month

   July marks the celebration of Disability Pride month. An opportunity to raise awareness and have positive conversations about disability in study and the workplace.

   Research regarding the discovery of a new species of human relative shedding light on the origins and diversity of our origins was selected as the second most important scientific story in 2015.

4. New Scientist backs LJMU 'big idea'

   A LJMU ‘big idea’ has been selected as one of the most innovative of the year by New Scientist.

5. Final preparations for new curriculum management system

   Final preparations are under way for the launch of LJMUs brand new curriculum management system.

6. Graduation review Tuesday 10 July

   The Liverpool Business School and the School of Law graduated today, while Dr Steve Garnett was given an Honorary Fellowship in recognition of outstanding achievement in the use of technology in social change

7. Wellbeing journals: order copies for your new students

   Copies of the new wellbeing journal are now available and staff are encouraged to order copies for their students.

8. Positive response to Actus staff development platform

   There has been an extremely positive response from staff to the introduction of Actus, our new system to support development and performance.

9. Seminar series: decolonising the science curriculum

   This is a virtual seminar series to encourage discourse on decolonising the curriculum in the sciences.
