   The Environmental Sustainability and Energy Team at LJMU have received funding from Cycling UK to carry out a number of events for the Big Bike Revival.

   Join us as we attend the Great British Beach Clean event in West Kirby, run by the Marine Conservation Society.

4. Litter Picking: Mount Pleasant

   The Environmental Sustainability and Energy Team at LJMU are litter picking around campus, keeping our city and estate clean for our community.

5. Equality, diversity and inclusion in journalism teaching conference

   The journalism department is holding a free one-day conference on EDI in Journalism education on June 26th. Although the conference is geared towards Journalism education, the conference is open to educators from other subject areas who will be welcome to share their research and best practice as well as benefit from transferable, practical ideas around embedding EDI in teaching, learning and assessment and creating an inclusive environment for students.

6. Liverpool LASER Talks - Electric Dreaming: The ethics of Artificial Intelligence and its role in creative practice

   As use of AI grows and new applications emerge, so do questions around its ethics. What are the ethical dilemmas which have emerge? How do we use AI for good? What examples are there and how do we learn more about these issues? In these LASER Talks we explore these issues from a number of perspectives including crises facing the arts sector, inclusion and the environment. Proposed solutions owe much to games culture in terms of audiences and interactive experiences. New audiences can be reached with new meaningful experiences, marginalised groups can use AI to reach beyond their challenges and entirely new approaches to protecting the natural world can emerge.

7. LJMU PE, School Sport and Physical Activity Network Event

   This face-to-face event is for primary and secondary teachers, Sport/PE students, trainee teachers and sports coaches working in schools. The event will: Disseminate the research activity and projects across LJMU PESSPA network Reflect upon the findings and recommendations of the Ofsted subject PE report series (Sept 2023) Celebrate collaborative activities/events.

8. Disabled Researchers Network Project 'Community and Connection' event

   LJMU staff and postgraduate research students are warmly invited to the next Disabled Researchers Network project event, 'Community and Connection', on 25th July (online).

9. Faculty of Engineering and Technology Graduate and Placement Recruitment Fair

   The Graduate and Placement Recruitment Fair takes place on Thursday 10 October 2024, featuring 70+ employers from across all courses and disciplines in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

10. Let's Make! Upcycled Christmas Jumpers

    To help you get into the festive spirit, the Environmental Sustainability and Energy team and Staff Wellbeing Team at LJMU are holding an upcycling workshop where you can transform an old garment into a Christmas jumper or t-shirt!
