1. Staff Governor voting now open

   All Professional Services staff have until 5pm on Monday 27 March to vote for their preferred Staff Governor candidate.

2. Free winter flu jabs for staff

   As part of our employee wellbeing focus, we are again offering staff a voucher for a free winter flu jab.

3. Academic Board Elections - Non-Teaching Staff

   Following the call for nominations, an election for the non-teaching member of staff on Academic Board will take place.

   We caught up with the co-chairs of the current LJMU staff networks to find out what they have already achieved and what their plans are for 2022.  

5. Research active staff urged to join focus groups

   Research active staff are being invited, by the LJMU Concordat Steering Group, to participate in a focus group on the research environment and culture at LJMU.

6. Staff Governor vacancy

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible candidates to represent Professional Services as a Staff Governor member of the Board of Governors.

7. Staff networks explored, explained and celebrated

   Staff recently came together to celebrate the power of staff networks in the workplace and to mark the launch of the Admin and PA Staff Network.

8. New staff profile system

   This spring, LJMU will upgrade our public profiles system to the Digital Science Symplectic ‘Discovery’ system.

9. New staff facilities now open

   A new staff lounge is now open in Byrom Street as part of a programme of works to enhance facilities in our City Campus.
