   The Graduate and Placement Jobs Fair takes place on Wednesday 18 October at the Student Life Building, 12-3pm. It will feature 60+ organisations from a range of sectors looking to hire students from across all courses and disciplines. If you have a disability, health condition or are neurodivergent and find busy fairs can be overwhelming, join us from 11am for our accessibility hour.

5. Premier League match officials receive expert support from LJMU sport scientists

   Four Premier League professional match officials are receiving strength and conditioning training and physiotherapy sessions with LJMU sport scientists, under a new partnership.

6. World Mental Health Day: LJMU outlines commitment to mental health and suicide prevention

   Thursday 10 October is World Mental Health Day and LJMU is raising awareness of all aspects of mental health and wellbeing, including suicide prevention, by outlining the support and resources available at the university for students and staff.

   Good luck to all athletes and sport science staff from the LJMU community as they ready themselves for the Commonwealth Games 2022, starting in Birmingham this week.

   The Broadcast Hub is proving to be a useful tool for further raising the profile of the University, with Dr David Lowe conducting interviews with Sky News and broadcasters based in Istanbul and Dubai.

   The Liverpool Centre for Cultural, Social and Political Research (CSPR) has been established to bring together expertise around humanities and social sciences to drive forward the impact of their work.

10. School of Sport and Exercise Sciences celebrates long standing partnership with Everton

    Staff and students past and present gathered at Goodison Park as Everton's Academy Sport Science department hosted an event to celebrate an internship programme run in partnership with The Football Exchange, part of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University.
