1. Researchers urged to share their experiences

   Colleagues are currently running the Culture, Employment and Development in Academic Research Survey (CEDARS) to harness your views, and to understand your experiences and needs as a researcher at LJMU.

2. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

3. New workplace milk initiative

   Staff can now order milk through Catering Services for their team to collect once a week.

4. Extra Security is coming – Get Ready!

   LJMU will soon be bringing in additional security to protect everyone’s data, with the introduction of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to some online services.

5. Staff benefits of collaboration with innovation support programme Horizons

   Discover opportunities to undertake industry-based research and to generate student projects.

6. Get involved in the British Science Festival 2025

   The British Science Festival is coming to Liverpool in 2025 and organisations across the city can get involved to deliver engaging events and activities.

7. Health, safety and environmental management code of practice updates

   The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) has recently approved a new health and safety code of practice as well as amendments to a further 11 policies.

8. Travel survey findings

   Findings from the LJMU Travel Survey have been collated and will now inform the LJMU Active and Sustainable Travel Plan.

9. Provide peer-to-peer wellbeing support

   LJMU Connectors provide peer-to-peer mental wellbeing support to colleagues, at a local level, across the university.

10. New website course search function

    This week marks the launch of an exciting new development to our website. A project group have been working with an external agency (Sagittarius) to improve the course search function.
