1. Students at the Heart Conference 2023 submissions now open

   Submissions from across the LJMU community and our partner organisations are now being sought for the 2023 conference taking place in June.

2. Join the LJMU gym

   Gym memberships are just £25 for students and £40 for staff, for the whole academic year.

3. Catering store within iBuy down 14 to 18 August

   The catering store within iBuy will be down from 14 to 18 August. Any catering requests for during this period and up to the 22 August should be booked in advance.

4. New hub of wellbeing events for students and staff

   We've launched the ‘Looking after your wellbeing’ event hub on the LJMU website to bring together all the different events happening across the university and help you look after your wellbeing.

5. Support for transgender and non-binary students

   We now have dedicated information on our student support webpages, for transgender and non-binary students, to find out how to get help and support while at university, as well as requesting a name change via LJMU.

6. Applications now open for Advance HE Aurora Programme 2024

   Applications are now being taken for a leadership development initiative for women.

7. Triple win for Nursing and Advanced Practice students

   Three students from the School of Nursing and Allied Health have won awards at the Patient Experience Network (PEN) National Awards 2023.

8. Students at the Heart Conference 2023: Celebrating 200 years of LJMU

   As part of the Students at the Heart conference, LJMU organised a special Bicentenary celebration room to highlight 200 years of LJMU and celebrate our history.

9. Global partners visit LJMU

   LJMU welcomed partner organisations from across the world to the Students at the Heart conference.

10. Over 500 staff and students attend Students at the Heart Conference 2023

    Covering everything from AI to alumni, 70 plus sessions were delivered by 200 staff and students across the two-day event.
