1. Staff networks explored, explained and celebrated

   Staff recently came together to celebrate the power of staff networks in the workplace and to mark the launch of the Admin and PA Staff Network.

2. Free staff access to LinkedIn Learning

   As part of LJMU’s commitment to supporting staff development, the LinkedIn Learning platform is being made available to everyone.

3. Staff car parking update August 2023

   The university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2024.

4. Free winter flu jabs for staff

   As part of our commitment to employee wellbeing, we are again offering staff vouchers for a free winter flu jab.

5. Academic Board Elections - Teaching Staff

   Elections for the Academic Board teaching staff will take place from 24th May until 11th June 2019.

6. New Staff Gardening Group

   The School of Biological & Environmental Sciences has been working on a project to improve Byrom Street Campus with 10 urban wildlife gardens.

7. New way to request visitor parking and out of hours or security access

   Campus Support (Security) now has a number of staff request forms available via the LJMU HelpMe portal, to help with the management of requests.

8. Updates to Relocation Policy for new staff

   The Relocation Policy for new staff has been updated to ensure it reflects HMRC guidance.

9. Dental plan for LJMU staff

   The scheme provided by Unum Dental is an insurance policy available to LJMU staff, apply by 31 Jan 2024.
