2. Pride in Liverpool 2023

   Students, staff and alumni from across LJMU will be joining the LCR Pride March on Saturday 29 July, taking to the streets of Liverpool to march in protest and in celebration.

4. New approach to degree apprenticeships

   LJMU is developing a new, more efficient process to manage our degree apprenticeship programmes.

5. Expressions of interest welcomed for multiple Academic Board vacancies

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible LJMU staff to serve on the Academic Board and to take up their roles in September.

6. Restrictions on using USBs

   From Monday 4 September, students will no longer be able to use USB storage devices on LJMU computers, laptops and other IT equipment.

7. "I want to set an example to women and girls"

   From the first person in her remote village in Pakistan to attend university, to a doctorate, Dr Maryam Kawsar graduated from LJMU with a PhD today.

   After starting university life during the pandemic, working on a project in Nepal and winning an award for mentoring young people in Liverpool, Grace Belcher completed “three incredible years” with LJMU today.

10. LJMU residential for young people

    LJMU Outreach has welcomed young people from 12 schools across the north west region to its annual Year 10 Residential, targeted specifically at those in local authority or residential care.
