1. New hub of wellbeing events for students and staff

   We've launched the ‘Looking after your wellbeing’ event hub on the LJMU website to bring together all the different events happening across the university and help you look after your wellbeing.

   Covering everything from AI to alumni, 70 plus sessions were delivered by 200 staff and students across the two-day event.

5. Partnership project to close current skills gap in Indian construction

   A research project aiming to address the current skills gap in the Indian construction industry has begun through an industry academia partnership, funded by the British Council’s Going Global Partnership Grant

6. LJMU Journalism students get mentorship from industry pros

   LJMU final-year undergraduate students specialising in Journalism and Sports Journalism team up with pros from the John Schofield Trust, getting personal mentors, cool masterclasses, and networking opportunities.

7. Professorship and readership conferment process

   To provide as much planning time as possible we can confirm that the LJMU professorship and readership conferment process for 2023/24 will open from 27 November 2023.

8. Telling the stories of our people for our Bicentenary

   Since the start of our Bicentenary year, we’ve been curating profiles that tell the stories of our people from the past, the present and those shaping and changing the future for the better.

9. Briefing sessions for professorship and readership conferment

   Colleagues who wish to apply to the LJMU professorship and readership conferment process for 2023/24 can now book a place on our briefing sessions.

10. Additional workshops available for leaders and managers

    The Organisational Development teams’ LJMU Leadership Enhancement And Development (LEAD) programme has added another two workshop sessions.
