1. REF 2029 resources and workshops

   Resources and briefing sessions are being made available to researchers interested in developing case studies for REF 2029.

2. New Academic Achievement teaching resources

   Each of these resources is a standalone academic skills class accompanied by a full lesson plan with teaching notes.

3. Updated Research Degrees Framework 2024/25

   Updates have been made to various regulations and policies that underpin the university’s Research Degrees Framework.

4. Health, safety and environmental management code of practice updates

   The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) has recently approved a new health and safety code of practice as well as amendments to a further 11 policies.

5. New LJMU professors and readers

   LJMU has confirmed a number of new professors and readers following a rigorous process.

6. Academic Board vacancies call for nominations

   Formal nominations need to be submitted by 5pm on Tuesday 23 January 2024.

7. Your new Academic Board members

   Following the call for nominations for five vacancies on our Academic Board, the Secretariat is pleased to announce that they have filled the positions.

8. Health and safety code of practice updates

   Two of our health and safety codes of practice and have updated and can be accessed on the Policy Centre.

9. Aldham Robarts Library to reopen on Sundays from 7 January

   We’re pleased to share that the Aldham Robarts Library will resume its normal opening hours and will once again be open on Sundays from 7 January.

10. Making Every Contact Count training January

    Staff are invited to take part in a Making Every Contact Count training day on Monday 15 January.
