1. Admissions Policy update

   The LJMU Admissions Policy has recently undergone some minor amendments and the updated version can be found in the Policy Centre.

2. Eurovision volunteers needed

   The volunteering programme has officially opened, giving people the chance to be at the heart of this iconic event taking place in Liverpool in May.

3. Take charge of your pension

   This Pension Awareness Week (11-15 September) access free, impartial, and straightforward pension information, as well as a series of live sessions.

4. Designs for inclusion: enhancing doctoral education programme

   Staff can sign-up for the programme delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.

5. Pensions Awareness Week online events 12-16 September

   As part of Pensions Awareness Week, Merseyside Pension Fund will be running a series of live online events which aim to increase pensions awareness among active members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

6. Launch of Women’s Professional Services Staff Network 

   LJMUs newest staff network has launched this February with over 70 attendees from across Professional Services attending the event online. 

7. Astrophysics Professor shares his ‘observations’ on the UK’s Eurovision entry

   On the eve of this year's Eurovision song contest, LJMU Astrophysics Professor Andy Newsam analyses the UKs Space Man entry and ponders how the lyrics stand up in the real universe.

8. Share your Eurovision 2023 plans

   We’re keen to understand how our own LJMU community might be planning to mark the event coming to Liverpool, and we can help to co-create and promote your Eurovision related events and initiatives.

9. Teaching staff urged to sign-up for My Pensions Online

   The start of the academic year can be a good time to review your pension arrangements. All academic teaching staff are reminded that they can sign-up to an online portal if they are members of the Teachers Pension Scheme.

10. Fashion students' 'sustainable Eurovision collection' in John Lewis

    Fashion students have collaborated with BEPO to create a sustainable Eurovision collection for Liverpool ONE’s John Lewis
