1. 'Liverpool Model' leads way in tackling gaps in student mental health services

   Students are set to benefit from better join up of mental health services to prevent them falling through the gaps at university.

2. Apprenticeships and Student Governance policy updates

   The new Apprenticeships Policy has received Academic Board approval and 20 Student Governance policies, guidance and pro forma have recently been reviewed, and have received minor amendments.

   Colleagues are currently running the Culture, Employment and Development in Academic Research Survey (CEDARS) to harness your views, and to understand your experiences and needs as a researcher at LJMU.

4. New workplace milk initiative

   Staff can now order milk through Catering Services for their team to collect once a week.

   PhD student and Liverpool headteacher completes prestigious Winston Churchill Fellowship.

   YPC International College and LJMU graduate 150 students in July

8. New website course search function

   This week marks the launch of an exciting new development to our website. A project group have been working with an external agency (Sagittarius) to improve the course search function.

9. Kind staff and students support Whitechapel Centre Christmas appeal

   Warm clothes, selection boxes, toiletry sets and Christmas foods were among the items collected and donated by staff and students.

10. Staff Governor vacancy

    The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible candidates to represent Professional Services as a Staff Governor member of the Board of Governors.
