1. New way to request visitor parking and out of hours or security access

   Campus Support (Security) now has a number of staff request forms available via the LJMU HelpMe portal, to help with the management of requests.

2. University Seal request form update

   The Secretariat has updated the request form to incorporate the additional stages of approval required from colleagues in finance and legal.

3. Majority of April and May exams to be held online

   Most exams in April and May 2022 will be held online. There are a small number of examinations which will be held in-person due to specific requirements of the professional body.

4. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

5. Support over the spring break and what to do in Liverpool

   For most of our students following the standard academic calendar, the spring break runs from 9 to 24 April. Whether you are heading home or staying around Liverpool, here is some advice on where to go, what to do if you need help and support and those all important Library opening times.

6. New arrangements for AV support

   We have a new system in place to support you in using audio visual and display technology in our teaching spaces.

7. Panama welcomes LJMU at world-famous canal launch

   A Liverpool delegation including Eddie Blanco-Davis, from LJMU’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology flew to Panama at the behest of the UK embassy in Panama to attend the official launch of the £3.9bn expansion of the Panama Canal.

8. LJMU Estates Roadmap to 2020 progresses with 4-6 Rodney Street

   LJMU is currently in the process of mapping around six major capital developments across the city centre, the majority to be completed by 2020.

9. Order wellbeing journals for your students

   Copies of the wellbeing journal can be ordered by staff for students.

10. Free winter flu jabs for staff

    As part of our commitment to employee wellbeing, we are again offering staff vouchers for a free winter flu jab.
