1. New arrangements for AV support

   We have a new system in place to support you in using audio visual and display technology in our teaching spaces.

2. Fault reporting processes for the new academic year

   As the new academic year begins and our campus becomes busy once more, staff are reminded to ensure that all faults are reported via the respective Helpdesks.

   IT Services is running a series of drop-in classroom display and audio technology introduction/refresher sessions

4. IT upgrades coming your way

   During the summer, IT services will be delivering an upgrade to Microsoft Office and Google Chrome will become the default browser.

5. Email account improvements

   IT Services will soon be migrating staff email accounts to provide us with greater security, increased storage limits and easier accessibility.

6. Front of class technology support sessions for staff - September 2022

   IT Services Technology Support staff will be on hand this September to offer informal guidance on the operation and use of in-class technologies such as projectors, visualisers, and front of class computers.

7. Drones to the rescue: wildlife park footage will help save endangered animals

   Scientists at LJMU are capturing the thermal profiles of animals at a local wildlife park in order to help researchers around the world classify and monitor endangered species in the wild.

8. AVIT group developing a positive AV experience across campus

   Did you know that LJMU has a dedicated Learning Environment Panel and an Audio Visual and Information Technology (AVIT) group whose combined remit is to improve the quality of teaching space across campus?

9. Praise for LJMU’s support of care leavers from Minister for Higher and Further Education

   LJMU deserves the highest praise for their success according to the Minister for Higher and Further Education, after it was the first of only four institutions to be awarded the National Network for the Education of Care Leavers (NNECL) Quality Mark.

10. Sport-for-all manager joins LJMU as part of international collaboration

    LJMU is set to strengthen its reputation for promoting sport-for-all and physical activity in its communities.
