1. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

2. New workplace milk initiative

   Staff can now order milk through Catering Services for their team to collect once a week.

3. Making Every Contact Count training January

   Staff are invited to take part in a Making Every Contact Count training day on Monday 15 January.

4. Annual survey and audit of teaching space to take place this February

   The survey will be conducted between the hours of 9am and 5pm from Monday 5 to Friday 9 February 2024.

5. Your new Academic Board members

   Following the call for nominations for five vacancies on our Academic Board, the Secretariat is pleased to announce that they have filled the positions.

6. Health and safety code of practice updates

   Two of our health and safety codes of practice and have updated and can be accessed on the Policy Centre.

7. Share your Eurovision 2023 plans

   We’re keen to understand how our own LJMU community might be planning to mark the event coming to Liverpool, and we can help to co-create and promote your Eurovision related events and initiatives.

8. Extra online security is being rolled out across the university

   Update your details and find out where staff and students can go for IT support.

9. CourseLoop survey

   Our new curriculum management system, CourseLoop, has been live since the start of the academic year and we’d love to hear what colleagues make of it so far.

10. LJMU signs up to the University Mental Health Charter

    Over 60 universities across the country have signed up to be part of the Student Minds’ University Mental Health Charter Framework to support universities across the UK in making mental health a university-wide priority.
