1. LJMU joins action group spearheading positive change for technical career pathways

   Two LJMU staff members will sit on the Career Pathways Action Group.

2. Designs for inclusion: enhancing doctoral education programme

   Staff can sign-up for the programme delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.

3. North West Higher Education Action Learning Programme

   LJMU are offering up to ten places for women working in academic and professional services roles to take part in cross institutional action learning sets with peers from universities in the North West region.

4. Advance HE Aurora Programme final days to apply

   LJMU staff are reminded that the application deadline for the Advance HE Aurora Programme, a leadership development initiative for women, is Friday 4 November 2022.

5. Data management plan training for research applications

   Need to create a data management plan for your research application? New training sessions will start this September to help you using DMPonline.

6. Additional workshops available for leaders and managers

   The Organisational Development teams’ LJMU Leadership Enhancement And Development (LEAD) programme has added another two workshop sessions.

7. Applications now open for Advance HE Aurora programme 2025

   Apply by 5pm on Friday 8 November 2024.

8. Actions update from Staff Survey 2024

   Over the past six months, members of the Executive Leadership Team and the Directorate have actively engaged with their teams, holding discussions and developing action plans in response to the findings of the 2024 Staff Survey.

9. UN Sustainable Development Goals: resources for staff

   As part of this year's submission to the Times Higher Impact Rankings, a hub of resources is now available to staff outlining our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

10. Researchers urged to share their experiences

    Colleagues are currently running the Culture, Employment and Development in Academic Research Survey (CEDARS) to harness your views, and to understand your experiences and needs as a researcher at LJMU.
