6. Staff event at Student Life Building

   Our next staff open day at the Student Life Building takes place on Wednesday 24 November, with networking opportunities, a chance to find out more about the building and its services, plus a free lunch.

7. Improvement works at John Foster Building

   Next month (June 2022), we will begin a programme of improvement works to John Foster Building, which means it will be closed for a period over the summer.

8. LJMU takes handover of landmark Copperas Hill development

   Liverpool John Moores University has taken handover of its landmark new development on Copperas Hill. Contractor Morgan Sindall Construction has reached practical completion of the three and a half acre site in the heart of the city centre.

9. LJMU academic shaping solutions to tackle climate concerns across the construction industry

   Dr Ana Bras has been nominated as chair of an international committee looking to find solutions to climate challenges across the whole chain of construction.

10. LJMU's Outdoor Learning Area officially opens

    Trainee teachers and schoolchildren from across the Liverpool City Region are developing new skills and confidence thanks to LJMUs Outdoor Learning Area. The green space in the heart of the city centre has been officially opened this week and is already hugely popular with student teachers and school pupils.
