1. Athletics coach Graham helps sprinter Ola Abidogun win Commonwealth bronze

   LJMUs Head of Capital Development, Graham Pilkington, was in Birmingham earlier this week as he watched one of his athletes, Ola Abidogun, win bronze in the T45-T47 100m.

2. LJMU marks World Menopause Day 2023

   In recognition of World Menopause Day 2023 our staff came together for the fourth Menopause Café of the year and to talk about how we can all play a role in supporting and understanding colleagues going through the menopause.

   As Feel Fab Feb activities comes to an end, our Executive Leadership Team is highlighting the importance of health and wellbeing at LJMU, with the relaunch of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

5. New ES1 form available for managers

   The Finance team has recently updated the ES1 form used to assess contractors against HMRCs off-payroll working rules (sometimes called IR35).

6. Staff Sharepoint migration

   IT Services has started the process of migrating all of our on-premise SharePoint and shared drives (JT2) to either Microsoft Teams or SharePoint Online.

7. Data management plan training for research applications

   Need to create a data management plan for your research application? New training sessions will start this September to help you using DMPonline.

8. New Teaching and Learning Academy policies

   Two new policies will support teaching staff in their development through peer exchange and direct observation.

9. Bicentenary branded templates and assets

   To celebrate this special milestone year, we’ve added a range of branded templates and assets to our brand and design hub for all staff to access and use throughout the year.

10. Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions take LJMU to Northern Ireland

    Academics, professional service staff and students travelled to Belfast for a recent university applicant day.
