2. Staff Infobase (Oracle E-Business Suite) is being upgraded

   Staff Infobase (Oracle E-Business Suite) is being upgraded over the Easter weekend. The upgraded system will be available by 8am on Tuesday 6th April. The upgrade will move the system to the latest version of the software, ensuring that it remains up-to-date and continues to effectively support the University's business.

3. In memoriam: Bob Askwith

   The university is deeply saddened by the death of Dr Bob Askwith.

4. Let’s Talk About Race Equality (Debating White Privilege, Micro-Aggressions, Allyship & Active Bystanders)

   The 2020 Black Lives Matter movement, reignited conversations on the subject of race equality, across the globe - The need for positive culture change was at the forefront of those discussions. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to address race equality at LJMU and understand the importance of ally-ship.

5. LJMU main university in China maritime partnership

   A Memorandum of Understanding is set to strengthen a relationship between Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) and LJMU that stretches back over ten years in Maritime, covering extensive research projects and postgraduate opportunities.

6. Email account improvements

   IT Services will soon be migrating staff email accounts to provide us with greater security, increased storage limits and easier accessibility.

7. Health and Safety policy updates

   A number of Health and Safety policies have been amended and approved by the Health and Safety Committee.

8. Official launch of Oryx Universal College in partnership with LJMU in the State of Qatar

   We are delighted to announce the official launch of Oryx Universal College in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University in the State of Qatar.

9. Graduation review Tuesday 10 July

   The Liverpool Business School and the School of Law graduated today, while Dr Steve Garnett was given an Honorary Fellowship in recognition of outstanding achievement in the use of technology in social change

10. New facilities now open at Avril Robarts Library
